Ms. Zhu works in a broad range of trade actions including antidumping, countervailing duties and other enforcement actions involving various products, producing legal documents, and advising foreign clients in complying with U.S. trade regulations by taking advantage of a thorough knowledge of both civil law and common law systems.

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Ms. Zhu was a visiting fellow at University of Illinois at Springfield, assisting with special, outreach and research projects dealing with trade and legal issues in relation to the United States and China, in particular, China’s non-market economy status in antidumping area, trade law, etc.

Ms. Zhu has worked for a Chicago law firm in insurance defense. She had experience in personal injury, property injury, work discrimination, etc.

Ms Zhu was a legal intern for Judge Rodney W. Sippel in the United States District Court Eastern District of Missouri in the summer of 2001. She observed many trials, hearings, and in-chamber conferences with the judge. She also performed legal research and writing.

Ms. Zhu was an attorney of C & C Law Office in Beijing. Her practice focused on corporate law, contracts and international trade law. She produced and amended various contracts, performed regulatory compliance and negotiations. For instance, she assisted in establishing a $30 million joint venture by three multi-national corporations in Qingdao. She negotiated with Anheuser-Busch Corporation in amending standardized contracts on behalf of a Chinese consultant company. Being assigned by C & C Law Office, she worked for China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters, specialized in antidumping investigations. She defended Chinese companies against E.U. anti-dumping investigations on foundry coke and aluminum foil, and against U.S. investigations on citric acid, sodium citrate, and steel wire rope.
